Selection criteria
A facade must pass three tests: durability in Tehran's climate, facade-committee approval, and fit with your budget.
Stone
Durable and timeless; travertine and marble are most common. Proper anchoring and substructure are essential.
Brick
Warm texture with Iranian identity — and favored under newer municipal guidelines.
Thermowood
Heat-treated wood for exteriors; modern in combination with stone or cement board, but needs periodic maintenance.
Our advice
A two-material mix with one dominant is usually cost-effective and passes the committee more easily.
